Job Description We are looking for a motivated machinist with set-up experience on lathes to join our team to run some of the newest high-priority work in our CNC Department!
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards. • Read part prints, identify features, interpret tolerance • Communicate effectively with team leader and other employees to identify potential issues • Load/unload machine for production jobs • Change tooling/offsets as called out by the program • Load, call-up, and start programs in Gibbs • Trouble shoot errors as necessary • Inspect completed parts to verify conformance to specifications using hand measuring tools • De-burr as necessary and required • Examine completed parts for defects/flaws-determine solution when found • Complete in-process and final inspection paperwork
• High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience in CNC machining in a high volume production environment preferred, but individuals with coursework or tech degrees in machining will also be considered • Previous experience in making program edits at the machine in preferred • Willing to train for dual spindle machining • Able to read & interpret machining prints • Able to use and read mics, calipers, gauges • Dependable • Detail orientated
