Job Description
General Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of forklift in confined & high employee traffic spaces
• Loading/unloading of sheet metal stock deliveries or returnable pallets from inbound freight trucks
• Packing & palletizing of wide variety of parts for safe, secure shipment; evaluate the best packing/shipping securement method to ensure parts do not get damaged
• Safely operate shrink wrapper, box maker, & multiple styles of forklifts
• Assist in locating, identifying, transporting material on production floor, between multiple facilities and general shipping packaging when needed
• Communication of potential material damage or needed rejection, or job preparedness for shipment related issues to management
• Other general tasks as assigned: may/can involve hands-on assembly/production work as needed
• Clear, daily communication within department and all co-workers
• Assist in making local deliveries as they occur & last minute as needed

Position Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license & good driving record
• Must have previous experience driving forklift and be comfortable, & be consistently safe/proficient in operating forklifts or other shipping/receiving equipment
• Familiarity with metals properties & sheet metal processes also preferred
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment in a staging or shipping/receiving related position
• High school diploma or equivalent
