Job Description ARCO, A COMMUNITY RESOURCE is a nonprofit United Way Agency that provides services for babies and adults with developmental disabilities and their families throughout northeast Louisiana since 1954.
GENERAL FUNCTION: To empower person with intellectual disabilities to maintain a quality life in the community through provision of instruction/training and adequate support.
To create, modify, implement, and teach individualized support plans to assist participants to reach goals and meaningful outcomes;
To assist participants with finances, budgeting, housing, benefits, and other areas of business affairs;
To promote opportunities of social connectivity through community activities;
To coordinate with support agencies in quality services by attending meetings, providing information, and documentation;
To ensure rights of participants are protected;
To teach, supervise, and schedule staff members providing direct support services;
To work well as a team member to accomplish common goals;
To provide positive attitude and professional behavior;
To provide 24 hour emergency accessibility for program participants;
To assure quality services are provided while following policies, procedures, and requirements.
