Job Description We need a warehouse person who can think, solve problems, work well with others, and who wants to own their job. This is a great opportunity for someone with some warehouse experience who is looking to advance into a more demanding warehouse position. We will provide training on company specific procedures but once trained you will need to be able to run with the ball.
Primary Job Function : The position is responsible for cost effective and accurate material ordering for job specific and warehouse stock. Monitors warehouse min/max levels, and coordinates tool maintenance and repair. Stages material and equipment for technicians; tracks delivery and required date schedule on a "per project" basis. Transport material and tools to jobsites as needed.
Coordinates deliveries between operations, foremen, service department and vendors (external), reviews receipt of stock.
Work Hours: 7:00 a - 3:30 p Monday through Friday. OT availability if needed.
Qualifications: Knowledge of basic inventory practices and procedures Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Prior warehouse experience, preferably in electrical, or similar type industry. Computer proficiency Ability to understand written material and ability to write using correct spelling and punctuation; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using fractions or decimals Have common sense as well as have the ability to recognize errors Attention to detail Is consistent and develops good habits. Must pass a drug screen, background check and have a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position include walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands and fingers. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds . Good physical agility, senses and communication skills are required to meet the demands of the position.
