PROGRAM MANAGER (Position #LC93)

Our story began as a Presbyterian Orphanage in Lynchburg, home of the legendary Shoeless Wonders and we continue to build on more than 100 years of faithful service to strengthen the individuals, children and families all across the Commonwealth through collaborative partnerships and a wide variety of services.

The Program Manager has responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations for a six-bed home for adults with intellectual disabilities and community-based residential services as well as providing case management services for the residents and families. This position is responsible for providing supervisory oversight of program and facilities in accordance with licensing standards as well as agency policies and procedures.

Case Management responsibilities assures employment/day support for residents, establishing community linkages and assuring success of the residents in partnership with families, guardians, advocates, professionals, churches, public and private agencies.

The ability to work independently is critical. Maintaining the established budget and objectives with reporting is also required. This position is directly responsible for ISP development and implementation; the developmental, social, spiritual and moral development of the residents. This position is the key liaison between families, employers, and other community resources, and documentation of the quality of care each resident receives. The Program Manager supervises the residential staff and is responsible for their professional growth and development. Some travel is required. There is 24-hour on-call responsibility for the home. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Adult Services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Meet the requirements of Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP)
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field as outlined by DBHDS.
• Two years’ experience working in the field of intellectual disabilities
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Complete all background investigations and successfully pass drug test
• Provide “TB FREE” documentation
