Full-time position: Flexible hours are required including some evenings and weekends.
Special Conditions: Must reside within service area of Bedford, Roanoke or Rocky Mount, Virginia to ensure rapid in-person response to emergency calls.

The full-time Regional Therapeutic Foster Care Case Worker provides comprehensive casework and support services for children and families involved in the foster care system as well as supervision of the foster parents.
The Regional Therapeutic Foster Care Case Worker is also responsible for family services, community referrals and follow-up, records management and intake/admissions for assigned children and families. Must have thorough knowledge of child care, family services and community resources, licensing standards, records management, confidentiality, team work, supervision, Departments of Social Services/CSA, basic counseling and crisis intervention techniques. Duties also include recruitment, orientation and training of foster parents as needed as well as program marketing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in any field • Must reside within service area of Bedford, Roanoke or Rocky Mount, VA to ensure rapid in-person response to emergency calls. • Two years’ experience in providing casework services to children and families. • Past Therapeutic Foster Care experience preferred • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record. • Consent to all required criminal and CPS background investigations • Consent to TB assessment and/or test • Successfully pass drug test
