IT Technician (Entry Level)



Job Description
Position Title: IT Technician

Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and general training.
• Instruct, train and assist users.
• Document network and client problems as well as their resolution using the appropriate tools.
• Conduct research into hardware and software products and issues as required.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and carries out necessary repairs.
• Perform asset management of computer equipment, peripherals and network equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Involvement in vendor relations and ordering of equipment and supplies.

Minimum Requirements:
• Educational or work experience with end user computing hardware, software solutions and general business activities is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting skills to help diagnose problems and determine appropriate solutions is a plus.
• A passion for learning new technology and desire to stay current with the latest trends in technology.
• Experience installing software, patches, updates on desktops and laptops.
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs.
• Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

Physical Requirements: sitting, stooping, bending, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
