Job Description
General – This position will be responsible for some aspects of accounting relating to commercial real estate entities. This will include lease administration, processing accounts payable invoices, recording tenant payments and reconciling bank accounts. Responsibilities will include the following: Accounts Payable: 1. Scan, route, code accounts payable invoices using our document management software 2. Export approved invoices from the document management software and import these invoices into Timberline 3. Run accounts payable open invoice report daily and coordinate with the Accounting Department as to which invoices can be processed for payment 4. Scan and Index checks into the document management software 5. Review on a daily/weekly basis what invoices are still outstanding in our document management software and coordinate with Assistant Controller. 6. Researching past due invoices 7. Get W-9 forms for new vendors Accounts Receivable: 1. Prepare/scan daily deposits and deposit checks at the bank. 2. Assist with running monthly late notices and rent invoices 3. Review detailed aged receivable report and discuss with property managers regarding items that are 60 days and over Other Duties: 1. Bank Account Reconciliations 2. Assist with the preparation of annual Common Area Maintenance reconciliations 3. Recording journal entries monthly 4. Assist with monthly cash flow packages 5. Other tasks and projects as assigned by Controller or Assistant Controller. 6. Get updated insurance certificates for those vendors that have expired insurance Requirements: Basic knowledge of Accounting. Proficient in Excel and Word.
