Summary: This position supports various aspects of the financial cycle included but not limited to assisting in various accounting and reporting requirements, monitoring various metrics of the business to aide in daily operational decisions. This position also requires general accounting responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals.
Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable - Perform all aspects of Accounts Receivables (billing transactions, etc.). Specializing in the lien process; strong knowledge of Credit and Collections; ability to analyze credit accounts and make appropriate credit limit decisions, audit delinquent accounts, monitor aged accounts and approval of credit applications.
Financials - Responsible for ensuring a smooth monthly close within 7 days of month end; and tracing/investigation of all discrepancies.
Payroll - Processing payroll weekly and quarterly SUTA reporting, plus all tax functions.
Accounts Payable - PO process: initiating PO's, investigating pricing and locating products we are looking to buy, receiving in PO's after confirming receipts are correct, turning into AP for processing; Backup to AP - Perform all aspects of Accounts Payable (purchase invoicing, recurring charges, and check and vendor reconciliation.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Must have strong verbal and written communications skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent proficiency in Excel Ability to read financial statements, balance sheet, trail balance, etc. Analytical and research skills Associates degree in Accounting or Business Admin or applicable job experience Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office Quick Books, a plus Accounting related duties 3-5 years Experience with change orders and process invoicing Working knowledge of construction and contract administration and AIA billing helpful
Description of a successful Construction Administrator: Detailed oriented person who is comfortable with changing demands and meeting deadlines; has excellent customer service demeanor and works to a win-win conclusion.
Expectations: Improved cash flow through AR collections; protecting company revenues through the lien process; timely close out of financials; timely payroll processing; catching discrepancies in payroll and financial statements; cost efficiency in purchasing; credit applications completed within 48 hrs of receipt and applying appropriate credit limits, if any. Assisting in audits of general liability, workers compensation; timely payroll tax reporting.
Compensation is based on experience. Also included is Humana health coverage, life insurance, liability insurance and optional Aflac and Dental coverage. Two weeks vacation per year, 9-1/2 paid holidays.
Training will be provided on Mdm ACCESS, ANITA and Bonds & Liens
