Public Guardianship Case Worker



Job Description
Mountain Empire Older Citizens, Inc. (MEOC) has an immediate opening for a Public Guardianship Case Worker. MEOC’s Public Guardianship Program serves indigent adults who have been determined by the court system to need a guardian or conservator. The Case Worker makes decisions for individuals in the program in accordance with their wishes and values and is their advocate and service coordinator. Successful applicant will possess strong decision making, interpersonal, communication, case documentation and computer skills. The Case Worker will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide services to those persons served by the Public Guardianship Program. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work/Human Services, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Gerontology or Sociology, or equivalent experience. Experience providing social case work, case management or counseling to individuals with disabilities and special needs desired. Salaried position with excellent benefits. Position open until filled.
