Providing more than 65,000 transports annually, Metro West interfaces with dispatchers, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, emergency nurses and physicians; all working together to provide positive clinical outcomes while servicing the community.

We have been Oregon’s most trusted EMS provider since 1953; delivering advanced life support and medical transportation services in Douglas, Roseburg, Washington, Clatsop, Coos, and Lincoln Counties in Oregon and Pacific County in Washington. We are proud to hold the title as the largest non-emergency ALS provider in the Oregon and Southwest Washington.

ALS units operate under progressive standing orders, including advanced airway procedures, liberal treatment protocols and a highly developed trauma system. Our career ladder has several opportunities to provide individuals diverse experiences and training to further your career in EMS, such as our Mobile Heath/Community Paramedicine Program, Critical Care Transport units, and our Wildland Fire Team.

Metro West Ambulance encourages and supports individuals in their continuing education by offering employer paid CE courses needed for license renewal at the State and National levels.

Requirements of the job include:
• Current Oregon Paramedic License
• ACLS, PHTLS, PALS or PEPP
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 21 years in age
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record and criminal background check and drug test
Tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance, 10 and 12 hour shifts, health dental, and employer paid life insurance; 401(k) with a 5% employer match, paid time off and holiday time and gym membership reimbursement are offered to eligible employees.
