Activity Assistant - Kauai Adult Day Health Center (Lihue)
Job Description Kauai Adult Day Health Center is looking for genuinely caring Activity Assistant who strives to provide clinical and service excellence in a team environment.
Under the direction of the Adult Day Care Program Coordinator, the Activity Assistant assists with the planning, coordination and implementation of the overall scope of activity programs and services provided by the Adult Day Care Program. The Activity Assistant shall make every effort to meet the comprehensive needs, interests, routines and preferences of the residents in accordance with their assessment and plan of care. The Activity Assistant performs his/her duties in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the policies, procedures and core values of Ohana Pacific Management Company.
About Kauai Adult Day Health Center: Kauai Adult Day Health Center, located in Lihue, on the island of Kauai, provides a supervised daytime program for adults with impairments and Kupuna in a supportive and protective environment. Our goal is to help disabled adults remain at home and in their community while maintaining or improving their functional level. Our objectives are to keep our elderly or impaired adults as independent as possible, allowing them to do as much for themselves as possible and choose the activities that appeal to them.
Successful Activity Assistant Applicants Must: • Pass criminal background check and drug screen. • Possess good verbal and written command of the English language. • Have a current CPR and First Aid certifications • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • (Note: Applicants who do not meet ALL of the above requirements will NOT be considered.)
Hours: Part-time, Program hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm
