Direct Support Paid Neighbor



Job Description
We are currently seeking a Paid Neighbor to help support a young woman at the ARC. The chosen candidate would be expected to live in the Paid Neighbor apartment on a permanent basis. The apartment is 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. You will receive a $700 Taxable Stipend from the agency to help pay your rent. The Rent will be negotiated with the property owner. You will be required to work 4-8 hours in a Direct Support capacity with the individual. More hours are available for those seeking a full time position.

Areas of interest include:
*Hiking
*Outdoor Activities
*Community Based Events
*Travel (ie Hawaii)
*Dogs and Pets

Cats are allowed, Dogs are negotiable.

Salary: $10.20/hour

Requirements:
A HS Diploma or GED
Valid NYS Driver's License with at least one year of non-permit driving experience and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable giving individuals direct care including assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
