Shift Supervisor



Job Description
Softex Paper is expanding its work force due to the rapid growth of its paper manufacturing plants.

Softex Paper is currently accepting applications for shift managers for all shifts at both the Rock Hill, SC plant and the Chester, SC plant.

Position duties and summary:
• Managing shift production and all employees assigned to the shift
• Meeting production requirements set for shift
• Coordinating with the Production Manager and other Shift Supervisors
• Completing all necessary reports and documentation for the shift
• Working with Production Manager on machine and process efficiency
• Overseeing all changeovers
• Working with maintenance personnel and techs during breakdowns to resolve the issue as efficiently as possible
• Overseeing all training of techs
• Working with the Production Manager on staffing and employee concerns
• Handling all disciplinary warnings/actions for the shift
• Understanding/performing necessary Shipping & Receiving Functions

Position benefits include:
• Health, dental and life insurance offered to all employees after 60 days
• 3-4 days off a week depending on shift assignments
• 8 paid holidays days off annually after 90 days
• 6 paid days off (PTO) annually after 90 days
• Paid vacation days after 1 year
• Fixed schedules

Job Requirements:
• Previously work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
• Previous experience in a management or leadership role
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
