Work Environment:
Softex Paper is a family-owned international corporation with a small company feel. Members of the Softex Team work together to produce the highest quality paper towels and toilet paper.
The warehouse is modern, clean and bright. Renovations are currently underway to expand the facility and improve insulation and ventilation to ensure employees have a comfortable working environment.

Job Requirements:
• Basic understanding of all products and product specifications.
• Complete necessary paperwork for designated machine.
• Assist with basic maintenance on designated machine. Stackers receive filled boxes from a conveyor belt and use a “palletizer” to wrap finished pallets in shrink wrap.
• Identify quality imperfections and perform quality checks. If a box of goods doesn’t look perfect – pull it from production.
• Practice good housekeeping/keep work area clean and organized.
• Comply with all company rules and regulations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time. Shift are 12 hours long.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach, push, and pull repetitively.

Job Responsibilities/Position Summary:
• A stacker lifts each box of finished goods from a conveyor belt and physically stacks them on a wooden pallet. A pallet jack is used to move finished pallets to a “palletizer” machine to wrap finished pallets in shrink wrap.
• Stackers are required to record the total pallets produced on a shift and list the correct SKU number and item description for each product. A template worksheet is provided for this very basic paperwork. Paperwork must be turned in at the end of each shift.
• If machines are down to change products or for maintenance, employees will be expected to assist with other task around the warehouse, such as cleaning and organization. Productive workers are typically our most successful workers.

Company Safety:
• Steel-toe shoes (sneakers or boot style) and safety glasses must be worn at all times in the warehouse.
• Due to the flammable nature of our product, NO SMOKING is allowed in the facility. It is a safety and quality concern. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Violation of this rule may result in immediate termination.

Ideal Candidate Traits:
• Punctuality is extremely important. Being on time sets the tone for raises, promotion, etc.
• Self-starter! We are looking for candidates who find ways to be productive, even in the event of machine malfunction/repair. We pride ourselves in safety and TEAMWORK!
• Positive attitude. We are looking for workers who compliment the atmosphere of our organization. We want workers that enjoy getting things done and working within a “family oriented” environment.

Position benefits include:
• Health, dental, vision and life insurance offered after completion of 60 days
• 8 paid holiday days off annually after completion of 90 days
• 6 paid days off (PTO) annually after completion of 90 days
• Paid vacation days (40 hours) after completion 1 year
• Fixed schedules

Additional Info:
All new hires will be given a performance review after 90 days. If the employee is able to meet the skills/responsibilities associated with the position, a salary increase is typically given. Performance reviews/pay evaluations are then given annually. Employees who excel at their position may be given additional reviews and wage raises throughout the year
