Texoma Community Center (TCC) is one of 39 Texas Community Centers, which are governmental entities as defined by Title 7 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

This position is responsible for providing assistance and supervision to adults whom are intellectually and developmentally disabled. This position assists with medical/dental appointments, reporting all information from appointments to the RN/QIDP, maintaining individuals’ safety, enhancing consumer’s personal well-being and promoting social, emotional, and intellectual growth. This position is responsible for covering shifts at all ICF and HCS homes as needed. This position is responsible for implementing processes and procedures as developed by the RN, Case Managers and Residential Coordinator. This position is responsible for total care including but not limited to lifting, transferring, medication administration, feeding/g-tube, toileting/changing briefs and bathing of individuals in accordance with the philosophy, goals and, objectives of Texoma Community Center. This position will be responsible for implementing a trauma informed model of care in all services provided which align with CCBHC standards. Operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care which align with CCBHC standards. Starting wage is $11.50 an hour.

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with mental and developmental disabilities highly desirable

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:
• Current driver’s license and vehicle for use at work

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience working with individuals with mental and developmental disabilities highly desirable
• Must be physically able to, with assistance, lift, transfer, change undergarments, and bathe adult clients as needed
• Consistently practices Trauma-informed Model of Care, understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma.
• The knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
