This is a third shift position. Position hours are 10 PM to 6:30 AM. Weekend hours may be required.

The first shift foreman of the Carburizing and Batch Hardening Business Unit is responsible for direct supervision and operation of the third shift team in the 211, 301, and 303 Travis Lane facilities.
The objective of this position is to coordinate efforts among all employees on the shift to successfully execute the demands of the daily production schedule in accordance with ThermTech’s corporate quality policy. This objective will be accomplished by assigning clear goals and responsibilities to all departments at the start of each shift and providing the required information and resources to shift employees as needed for successful production. It is also critical for the shift foreman to continually assess and maintain training levels amongst all employees on their shift and to communicate needs in this area to the Plant Manager and Unit Director.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, proficiency in English language (reading and verbal), and United States citizenship required.
Experience: 1 year of heat-treating experience minimum is required.
Working knowledge of PC based computer platforms, Previous experience with lift truck operation is preferred. Skills to include:
* Functional understanding of heat treating processes and equipment.
* Self-starting work attitude.
* Proactive management style
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
* Proficiency in ThermTech’s Bluestreak MES system is preferable.
* Must desire to lead employees by example and have strong desire to help others improve at their own careers.
