Fleet Mechanic



Job Description
This position will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of light diesel trucks, pickups, trailer and grounds maintenance equipment. This position requires a good grasp of vehicle repairs, hydraulics, and small engine repairs.

Duties:
• Complete general vehicle maintenance & small power tools repair according to PM Schedule
• Inspect, maintain, and repair the company’s Fleet and tools, using a detailed checklist provided.
• Order and stock necessary parts.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and maintain shop tool inventory in working order.
• Be available for out-of-shop repair on any company equipment as necessary.

Specific Qualifications:
• Must have at least 3 years
a. vehicle maintenance experience
b. experience with brakes and suspensions.
c. fleet experience.
• Driving – Must have a clean driving record and a valid state driver’s license.
• Team Player – ability to work with others and independently.
• Communication – ability to communicate strong verbally, written and electronically.
• Must have a trouble shooting mentality
• Sense of urgency to get vehicles back on the road
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly to fleet situations.

Attendance/Punctuality/Dependability:
Arrives to work consistently and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
