Job Description
Responsible guiding forklift
drivers for safe, accurate, and efficient loading and unloading of materials
onto trucks, flatbed trailers, and other equipment as needed. Operates
forklifts to unload and load materials, often 20’-50’ in length.

Shipping and Receiving Loader may include but not limited to:
Job Description:
- Demonstrates fundamental work requirements such as reliability,
work efficiency, and teamwork.
- Adheres to all
safety and quality standards, to include safely operations forklifts,
pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Demonstrates a
willingness to learn and grow as an individual to strengthen the team.
- Effective
ground guiding communication with forklift drivers to safely load
materials.
- Loads and
unloads a wide variety of materials on and off trucks and trailers.
- Verifies work
orders and bills of lading (BOL) to ensure accurate loading of jobs.
- Inspects cargo for damage or discrepancies, ensuring safe loading and transport of materials.
- Ensures cargo is properly secured for transport, using straps, chains, and other securing methods.
- Effectively
communicates issues or discrepancies with drivers, coworkers, and
leadership.
- Maintain
equipment, performing inspections and reporting issues or damage.
- Ability to use
hand tools, power tools, powered industrial vehicles, hoists, and digital
scales.
- Customer service minded, team and detail oriented, and driven to
continually improve.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
· Ability to perform repetitive lifting.
· Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
· Lift up to 50 pounds.
· Works indoors and outdoors in various weather
conditions.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as
needed.
· All
other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Powered industrial vehicle experience preferred (forklift, powered
pallet jack, etc...)
- Previous spotting/ loading experience preferred.
