BUTCHER / MEAT CUTTER

Old Town Butcher is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Butcher / Meat Cutter to join our team. We need someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working both behind the butcher counter and directly with customers.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, portion, and prepare various cuts of meat.

• Break down deer, whole and partial carcasses, and other wild game.

• Grind, process, package, and label meat products.

• Assist customers with meat selections, custom cuts, and questions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.

• Safely operate knives, saws, grinders, and other processing equipment.

• Assist with deliveries, stocking, and daily shop operations.

• Work as part of a team and jump in wherever needed.

Qualifications

• Previous meat cutting, butchering, or wild game processing experience strongly preferred.

• Must be comfortable processing deer and handling animal carcasses.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Physically capable of lifting heavy products and working in refrigerated environments.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Ability to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to learn and take direction.

• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
