Line Cook

Hunters & Gatherers is looking for a line cook who can bring flavor, focus, and a little bit of fire to the kitchen.

We are not looking for someone who just wants to stand on the line and survive the shift. We want someone who cares about the plate, moves with purpose, and likes being part of a restaurant that is still growing, changing, and creating.

Hunters & Gatherers is a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant in DeLand with a menu that mixes comfort food, seasonal flavors, brunch, dinner features, fresh specials, and a little funky creativity. We like food that feels familiar but still has personality.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be working the line, prepping ingredients, executing menu items, keeping your station clean, and helping push out food that we are proud to serve.

This position may include:

• Working grill, sauté, fryer, pantry, brunch, and prep
• Following recipes and plating standards
• Keeping your station stocked, clean, and organized
• Helping with daily prep and specials
• Communicating with the team during service
• Handling busy shifts with a good attitude
• Taking ownership of your station from start to finish

• Comfortable working nights and weekends
• Able to follow direction without ego
• Fast, focused, and calm under pressure
• Willing to learn all stations
• Proud of the food they send out
• Not afraid of hard work, hot pans, or a busy ticket rail

Bonus points if you love seasonal food, brunch chaos, dinner service, and the kind of kitchen where everyone jumps in to get it done.

Requirements

• Kitchen experience required
• ServSafe preferred or willingness to complete
• Must be dependable
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be available nights and weekends

Schedule

Part-time and full-time positions available.
Weekend availability is required.
