Cheer and Dance Coach (After School) – Annapolis, MD

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic After-School Cheer & Dance Instructors to lead fun and engaging enrichment programs for elementary-aged students in Annapolis, MD.

If you have experience with cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, fitness, coaching, or working with children, we'd love to hear from you. You don't need to be a professional dancer or experienced educator—most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, positive, and enjoys helping kids learn and have fun.

Position Details

• Part-time, after-school position
• Monday through Friday
• Afternoon/evening after-school hours
• 1.5-hour sessions
• $45 per session ($30 per hour)
• No weekends
• No lesson planning required
• Curriculum, music, and equipment provided
• In-person position at local elementary schools in Annapolis

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging cheer and dance sessions for elementary students
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and activities
• Teach age-appropriate cheer motions, dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, and teamwork
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students
• Encourage confidence, creativity, participation, and positive sportsmanship
• Maintain a professional relationship with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

• Cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, fitness, or coaching experience preferred but not required
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Comfortable working with students in grades K–5
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Annapolis
• Dependable and punctual
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Must successfully complete the required Anne Arundel County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process
