Job Description

Cherokee County Health and Rehab is seeking a loving and dependable person to work full time at our on-site daycare facility. Kidz Care Daycare is located on the facility grounds and is for children of CCHRC employees.


- Must be at least 18 yrs old and possess a High School diploma or GED.

As a Day Care Assistant you are responsible for a variety of duties that include caring for the personal and emotional needs of young children ages 6mo - 12 years. Keeping accurate records, creating lesson plans and cultivating a safe, comforting environment for children. Taking care of basic necessities such as changing diapers, feeding and general care, along with teaching letters and numbers, and other early childhood development practices.

The Day Care Assistant will nurture, teach and care for children who have not yet entered kindergarten and help supervise older children before and after school. In addition to attending to children’s health, safety, and nutrition, child care workers organize activities and implement curricula that stimulate children’s physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. They help children explore individual interests, develop talents and independence, build self-esteem, learn how to get along with others and prepare for more formal schooling.

Must be COVID-19 vaccinated.

Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 per HOUR
