Job Description
Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance
Mechanic is to maintain, repair or rebuild a wide variety of large and
complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment such
as CNC mills, Lathes, Multi-Axis machine tools and manual shop equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain, and repair plant equipment such as CNC
mills, Lathes and Multi-Axis machine tools.
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including
visual inspections, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate
- Diagnose problems, disassemble and determine extent of repairs
required.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece
of equipment
- Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including
mechanical, electric and hydraulic
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
- Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of
appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection,
service and testing of machinery
- May remove chips and turnings, keep various types separated and
place in designated areas.
- Remove and replenish coolants, keep separated and place in designated areas.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work
area.
- Work effectively with other team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing experience; 5+ years preferred
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems or equipment.
- Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
- Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline
driven environment.
