Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients in a collaborative healthcare environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a manageable patient-to-nurse ratio of up to 6:1, allowing nurses to provide personalized care while developing meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients throughout the care continuum.
- Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and communicate concerns appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards, physician orders, and facility policies.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and clinical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate quality patient care.
- Maintain compliance with professional nursing standards, applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety, dignity, and comfort.
- Manage patient assignments with a maximum 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Participate as an active member of the healthcare team and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (KS), or
- Active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) privilege/license allowing practice in Kansas.
Certifications
Candidates must hold one of the following current Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
