About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join a fast-growing technology organization focused on building next-generation developer tools and AI-powered products.

This is a senior, hands-on full-stack engineering role for someone who has built products from the ground up in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth environment. You will work closely with technical leadership and experienced engineers to shape product direction, make key architectural decisions, and take new products from initial concept through launch and customer adoption.

The team operates with a high degree of ownership and autonomy. Engineers are expected to move quickly, solve ambiguous problems, and build new products rather than simply maintain an established roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Own complete product surfaces from early ideation and systems design through development, launch, customer feedback, and iteration.
• Build and evolve developer tools and AI-powered product experiences for technical users.
• Work across frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
• Partner closely with technical leadership to develop product ideas, validate concepts, and bring products to market quickly.
• Make significant architectural and systems-design decisions across the full technology stack.
• Prototype and ship AI-powered features, including natural-language interfaces, automation, agent-based workflows, and developer productivity tools.
• Build polished, high-performance experiences across areas such as analytics, observability, debugging, and AI agent platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer and business needs into effective technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant, hands-on full-stack product engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing, building, and launching a meaningful product or major product surface from 0 to 1.
• Experience working in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth environment with significant autonomy and ownership.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills across frontend and backend development.
• Strong, recent experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Strong backend engineering experience with the ability to make systems-design and architecture decisions.
• Experience building products for developers, engineers, or other technical users.
• Experience working with APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, or developer-facing tools.
• Experience at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology-focused organization building products for engineers.
• Experience developing and shipping applied AI or LLM-powered features, or demonstrated experience using coding agents and agentic tools to significantly improve engineering workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of product decisions from ideation through launch and iteration.
• Ability to work independently, move quickly, and make sound decisions in ambiguous environments.
• Strong product judgment and an understanding of how technical decisions influence the user experience.

This Role May Not Be the Best Fit If

• Your experience has primarily been within large, highly structured organizations without significant startup or high-growth experience.
• Your background is primarily focused on DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or platform operations without substantial product ownership.
• Your experience is limited primarily to either frontend or backend development rather than full-stack product engineering.
• You have not personally taken a meaningful product or major product feature from concept to production.
• You prefer remote or hybrid work.
• You require current or future visa sponsorship.

Interview Process

The organization aims to move quickly with qualified candidates, with the potential to complete the interview process in approximately two weeks.

1. Introductory Conversation — 30 minutes
2. Technical Coding Interview — 1 hour
3. Second Technical Coding Interview — 1 hour
4. In-Person NYC Onsite — Approximately 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
5. Final Leadership Conversation — 30 minutes

The final conversation may focus on business alignment, motivation, product thinking, understanding of the market, and long-term professional goals.

• Full-time position
• On-site in New York City, 5 days per week
• Candidates currently outside NYC may be considered if they are willing to relocate
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
• Base salary: $200,000–$300,000
