BENEFITS

At Epcon Communities, Inc., our team members are our most valuable asset. We provide each eligible associate with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their health. The benefits include:

Medical Plans
Epcon Communities offer the Anthem HSA High Deductible Plan and the Anthem PPO Plan. Both medical plans offer a broad array of services including hospital and physician services, prescription drugs, and preventive benefits.

Dental Plan
Epcon Communities offers dental coverage through Metlife. It includes preventive, restorative, and prosthetic coverage, as well as orthodontia coverage.

Vision Plan
Epcon Communities offers vision coverage through Metlife as part of the dental plan or through VSP.

401(k) PS Plan
You may contribute a percentage of your compensation on a tax-deferred basis to the Epcon Communities, Inc. 401(k)PS plan, up to the annual IRS elective deferral limit. You direct your 401(k) contributions in a variety of investment options. Your contributions are always vested.

Vacation, Sick Days, & Holidays
As a full-time, regular associate, you accrue 10 days (80 hours) of vacation per year, based on an accrual rate of 6.67 vacation hours per month. You would also receive 3 sick days per year (prorated the first year of employment). In addition, you would receive eight paid holidays each year.

Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability
This STD & LTD plans are provided by the company and administered through Unum. The plan provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income while you are disabled.

Basic Group Life
Epcon Communities provides Basic Group Life Insurance equal to one times your annual base salary.

Group Universal Life
You have the option to enroll in additional life insurance through the Group Universal Life Plan which offers coverage up to $150,000 for yourself and up to $25,000 for your spouse.

HISTORY

Epcon Communities has a legacy of real estate builder excellence. In 1986, Ed Bacome and Phil Fankhauser recognized that real estate builders had overlooked the needs and preferences of one of the most important contributing segments of our society: the maturing home buyer. They founded Epcon Communities in Dublin, Ohio as the committed alternative receptive to those unmet needs. Construction on single-story living communities began immediately and were quickly well received. The popularity of Epcon Communities has since spread throughout Central Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Charleston, South Carolina. And in 1995, the Epcon Communities Franchising Company was established to service individuals and families across the nation with the same needs.

Today, Epcon Communities has discovered that their home and community designs have earned the favor of sophisticated and selective homebuyers of all generations.
