Front Office Receptionist
Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a front office receptionist to join our Haven Nursing Center team! The person filling this position serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, families, and staff. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, friendly, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Primary duties include:
- Greet and assist visitors, residents, and family members in a courteous and professional manner;
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly;
- Manage front desk operations and maintain a professional reception area;
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries;
- Provide clerical support including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry;
- Assist departments with administrative tasks;
- Maintain visitor logs and sign-in procedures;
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards;
- Schedule appointments and assign drivers for scheduled appointments;
- Request medical records following appointments and hospital stays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):
- Previous receptionist or desk experience;
- Knowledge of multi-line phone systems;
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures.
