Mechanic

Holtmeier Construction is seeking a heavy equipment mechanic to join our fast-paced utility, aggregate crushing, and quarry teams. It is crucial that we maintain our equipment to the utmost standards possible. It is necessary that our equipment is reliable and efficient for our crews in the field.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Competency in maintaining and repairing various types of construction equipment and trucks.

· Valid driver's license, a commercial driver's license is preferred.

· Attention to safety of self and others at all times.

· Excellent attendance, arriving to work prepared for the day.

· Willingness to listen, learn, and communicate with others.

· Being able to ask questions and work together as a team

· Be able to run diagnostic tools

· Having your own set of tools is preferred, not required

· Treat equipment, tools, and peers with respect at all times.

· Must have the ability to pass a physical exam and drug test.

A day in the life as a Mechanic at Holtmeier:

In this position you are part of a team performing repairs and maintenance on trucks and equipment in the shop and on the jobsite. A mechanic supports our team with preventative maintenance and repairs on various construction equipment such as trucks, trailers, dozers, skid-steers, excavators, loaders, etc.; maintain records for each piece of equipment, communicate and participate in the decision-making regarding repairs and parts.

Benefits & Compensation- Holtmeier Construction offers health insurance and retirement packages. Pay is based on qualifications. We generally work 10 hours per day during busy season and an occasional Saturday conditional on the circumstances.
