Are you mechanically inclined and ready to learn a trade? We’re hiring a motivated individual to join our team as a Garage Door Technician Apprentice. No prior experience is needed. If you’re dependable and hands-on, we’ll train you.

What Training Looks Like

Most of your training will happen on the job, working side-by-side with experienced technicians. As a helper/apprentice, you’ll gain practical experience right in the field. We also provide some classroom instruction, including expert-led sessions from Mount On Site Training in Maryland, to round out your understanding of the trade.

What You'll Do

• Assist in installing and servicing garage doors and openers

• Learn mechanical skills and product knowledge

• Maintain safe, clean job sites

• Help with materials, inventory, and basic paperwork

• Communicate with customers and team members

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on your feet

• Mechanical aptitude or background in trades is a plus

• Valid NY driver’s license with a clean record

• Able to pass a standard drug test (excluding cannabis)

• Able to pass a DOT physical (non-CDL)

• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
