We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to support a growing portfolio of luxury hospitality properties throughout the New Orleans area.
This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining HVAC systems as well as completing general property repairs and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate is dependable, resourceful, comfortable working independently, and experienced troubleshooting HVAC and residential maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems, including mini-split/ductless systems
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance throughout the property portfolio
- Diagnose HVAC issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Perform general property and home repairs
- Repair or replace garbage disposals, toilets, ceiling fans, and other fixtures
- Troubleshoot and clear basic plumbing issues, including clogged drains
- Complete basic electrical repairs and replace/install light fixtures, ceiling fans, pendants, and sconces
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, and painting
- Complete basic carpentry repairs
- Hang and mount artwork, mirrors, shelving, window treatments, fixtures, and décor
- Perform basic landscaping and groundskeeping as needed
- Inspect properties and identify maintenance concerns before they impact guests
- Coordinate with property operations and housekeeping teams to ensure properties meet quality and maintenance standards
- Determine when repairs require an outside contractor or specialized technician
- Respond to maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- HVAC license required
- 3–5+ years of maintenance experience preferred
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience
- Experience working with mini-split/ductless HVAC systems preferred
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Highly proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities
- Construction experience or additional trade certifications are a plus
- English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
- Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. and safely climb ladders
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance of New Orleans
Schedule
This is a full-time hourly position. The schedule may vary depending on property and guest needs. Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
