Software Engineering Lead

Saxon Infotech Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Lead to oversee software development activities, guide technical teams, and support the delivery of reliable technology solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with developers, project managers, and other technical professionals to coordinate development efforts, improve application performance, and maintain high standards of software quality. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software development activities from planning through implementation and delivery.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.

• Review application designs, source code, and development processes to ensure quality.

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish technical requirements and priorities.

• Identify and resolve complex software issues and performance challenges.

• Establish and maintain coding standards, documentation, and development best practices.

• Coordinate testing, debugging, and deployment activities.

• Monitor project progress and ensure development milestones are achieved.

• Recommend improvements to software architecture, system reliability, and team productivity.

• Support ongoing application maintenance, enhancements, and technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.

• Previous experience leading technical projects or mentoring developers.

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and application architecture.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

• Experience with version control systems, testing practices, and development tools.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud-based applications or enterprise software systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.

• Experience coordinating multiple development assignments and technical priorities.

• Knowledge of database systems, APIs, and application integrations.
