SCAN’S Women’s Recovery Home has 1 full-time Adult Female Care Worker Position.
The Women’s Recovery Home is a gender specific residential substance abuse treatment program for Adult Females ages 18 and up who are dependent on drugs and/or alcohol.
Job Duties:
1. Provide direct supervision of 12 adult female clients in care and maintain line of site at all times.
2. Provide oversight during recreation, meal time, relaxing time, and/or play time.
3. Assist during transition and movement of clients from one activity to the next and one physical location to another.
4. Interact with clients in an appropriate manner, including when playing games or during recreational time.
5. Communicate in a positive and respectful manner with clients, families, and all agency staff including supervisors, co-workers, counselors, student interns, volunteers, and other community agencies.
6. Assist clients in learning life skills, and redirecting clients when going off task.
7. Complete all required documentation prior to completion of shift.
8. Assist program director with other job duties assigned as needed.
9. Flexible to work 7 days a week with 2 days off on either one of the following shifts: (6:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.); (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.); or (10: 00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Position requires the availability to work any shift assigned (it may include holidays and/or weekends).
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
• Applicant must be 21 years or older.
