Job Description
Member Success Consultant | Fitness & Wellness Sales
Summit Athletic Club | St. George, Utah | Full-time
Summit Athletic Club is looking for a warm, confident, people-first Member Success Consultant to help members find the right next step toward their goals.
You'll be one of the first people members sit down with when they're ready for help. Some want a personal trainer. Some want to lose weight and don't know where to start. Some just want to understand their body scan. Your job is to listen, explain their options clearly, and make the next step easy.
This is a hybrid role: part sales, part body scan specialist, part connector between departments. If you love real conversations, believe in what fitness and wellness can do for people, and are comfortable asking for the sale, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Body scan appointments
- Run 3D body composition scans and walk members through their results in plain, encouraging language.
- Use each scan as the start of a conversation about goals, habits, and what support would help most.
Consultations and sales
- Reach out to new members and warm leads daily, and book consultations.
- Lead in-person consultations and present personal training packages, coaching memberships, and add-on memberships.
- Talk about pricing with confidence, handle questions and objections honestly, and ask for the sale.
Performance & Wellness Center
- Learn our wellness offerings (medically guided weight loss, peptides, hormone support, vitamin injections, and more) well enough to explain them clearly.
- Make warm introductions to wellness center providers when a member's goals point there.
- You'll provide general education only. You won't diagnose, prescribe, or give medical advice.
Onboarding and follow-through
- Match new personal training members with the right trainer based on personality, goals, and schedule.
- Check in with members if appropriate.
- Watch session usage and help members renew before their package runs out.
- Working across the club
- Stay in daily contact with membership sales, personal trainers, coaching, and the wellness center.
- Attend weekly department meetings.
- Get to know every department well enough to know how each one can help a member.
Who We're Looking For
Personable and genuine. People open up to you, and you make them feel comfortable fast.
At home in fitness and wellness. You understand the gym environment and care about helping people feel and live better.
Confident, not pushy. You can talk about pricing and ask for the sale while keeping the member's best interest first.
A true team player. You're excited to work with every department and learn how each one serves members.
Organized and dependable. You follow up when you say you will, and your notes are clean.
Curious and coachable. You're eager to learn about body composition, peptides, and medically guided wellness. We'll teach you what you don't know yet.
Experience (one of the following):
- Sales experience, fitness or wellness sales preferred, OR
- A background in fitness, wellness, or health (personal training, group fitness, exercise science, nutrition, or similar)
Nice to have:
- Education in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or a related field
- Experience with body composition technology
- Familiarity with peptides, medical weight loss, or other wellness services
- CRM experience
What Success Looks Like
You'll be the person members trust to answer one question: "Based on where I am today and what I want, what should I do next?"
For one member, that's personal training. For another, it's a coaching membership, recovery, or a conversation with a wellness center provider. Your job isn't to push everyone toward the same thing. It's to listen, connect the dots, and make the next step easy.
In this role, success means:
Consultations and body scans are booked every day.
- Trainers are consistently getting new members who are a good fit.
- Members feel supported well after the sale, and they renew.
- Other departments see you as someone who makes their job easier.
Schedule
Full-time with a flexible schedule, including a mix of mornings, evenings, and some Saturdays based on member demand.
Compensation
- Base pay (based on experience), plus commission
- Full compensation details discussed during the interview process
