Civil Superintendent

• Responsible to protect and promote the interest of Valdez Construction in all matters
• Assist in early stages of project planning and scheduling
• Be proactive in the identification of potential problems and recommend solutions
• Provide centralized leadership and guidance at project level
• Uses resources within and outside the organization to accomplish responsibilities in the most effective manner
• Keep managers informed on status of projects.

• This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating materials, subcontractors and trades, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Manage all civil equipment, both owned and rented
• This position serves as the on-site leader, driving productivity, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring alignment with plans and specifications
• Create and monitor production schedules
• Manage multiple civil construction crews in a safe and productive manner
• Coordinate subcontractors and the order and delivery of materials
• Implement Site Specific Safety Plan and task specific hazard analysis
• Perform daily Quality Control report, safety inspections and production reports
• Identify potential problems, including production challenges, and drive solutions
• Coordinate all field activities
• Participate in meetings as required
• Manage employees to maximize production

• 5 + years of experience as a Civil Superintendent of a Commercial Construction Firm.
• Experience supervising multiple crews on grading, mass earthwork, site work and road construction projects
• Experience with utility installation project including water mains, storm, sanitary sewer and dry utility systems
• Experience with shoring procedures and equipment including hydraulic shoring, trench shield and boxes.
• Proficient in reading and understanding plans and specifications.
• Experience Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
• Heavy equipment operator experience

• Salary Range $110,000 - $125,000 D.O.E
