Position: Environmental Health Compliance Trainer
Salary Range: $33.61 per hour to $45.05 per hour, Starting Salary: DOQ, DOE
Location: Community Health Department

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides advanced technical assistance, mentorship and programmatic support to the Environmental Health (EH) Manager and staff through policy and procedures development/review, regulatory guidance and operational improvement across core program areas such as on-site sewage, solid waste, land use and development review and school and environmental health and safety.
Working on a per-diem basis, this role brings strong subject-matter expertise and practical experience within the Washington state regulatory framework to enhance programs consistency, compliance, training and ensuring staff are prepared for the required certifications/testing.
Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Working conditions are a mixture of office/remote and fieldwork. Field work may be conducted outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. Ability to drive an automobile. Ability to lift and carry twenty-five (25) to forty (40) pounds. Requires sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate verbally.
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) and must have at least 10 years of progressive experience as an Environmental Public Health Manager or equivalent in Washington State.
Licenses and requirements: Must have a Certificate of Competency as an On-Site Sewage System Inspector in Washington State.
