Position: HCA Re-entry Administrative Assistant
Salary Range: $4,135.00/month to $5,541.00/month, Starting Salary: DOQ, DOE

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides administrative, billing, scheduling and general office support to the Walla Walla County Corrections Department. Position provides billing for fee-for- service (FFS), managed care organizations (MCOs), and assist third-party administrator (TPA). This position may be a backup warrant clerk upon the absence of the warrants clerk and assist and process department invoices. The work is of a confidential nature, requires thorough knowledge of the department's purpose, function, and practices, and is performed independently and responsibly. There are regular and recurring duties, as well as special projects and duties as assigned.
Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Work is performed inside or outside of a corrections facility. Position will have limited contact with inmates. Physical abilities required for this position are ones typically related to office operations, including manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate personal computers and other office equipment, access filing system, and have sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate verbally.
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School diploma, or Certificate in Administrative field, or AA degree in a relevant field of study (business administration, office management, accounting, or related field); Ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire WA State Patrol ACCESS Level II certification.
Licenses and other Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the county’s insurer required. Maintain current CPR, first aid. Successfully pass independent personal and background investigation.
