Factory Team Production Manager (FT - Management Position)

Job Description

Royal Industries is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Production Manager in training at our Allentown, PA location.
As a Production Manager in training, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of workflow in our factory and you must possess management skill's.
This full-time, salaried role will be accountable for on-time and quality production of all orders while creating a culture of efficiency, craftsmanship, and exceeding customer expectations in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented and technically savvy and have operational leadership experience. This is an incredible opportunity to play a key role in leading an organization into the future. The ideal candidate has experience with: scheduling, documentation, process improvement, and team building.
Additionally, you must be computer savvy as all our the reports and metrics you will need to fill out nightly are excel or google sheet based.

Leads, directs and controls night shift operations
Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Communicates expectations to shop floor personnel
Confers with other supervisors (day and night) to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Ensures that all standard operating procedures are followed
Maintains operations data such as time, production, and prepare nightly management reports of production results
Monitors safety and keeps areas clean and organized
Recommends personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
Enforces safety and sanitation regulations
Appraises performance of subordinates against position responsibilities and established goals, plans and standards
Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned and requested
Set production schedules, clarify priorities, and manage departmental goals
Interpret specifications of orders, define workflow, and assign duties
Organize shop floor in conjunction with the day manager including all material, equipment, and inventory
Manage supplies to ensure day shift manager is aware of any issues
Partner with customer service and sales managers to estimate timelines and customer communication
Identify and execute on opportunities to decrease costs and/or expand into new services

Management experience required
Printing knowledge/experience preferred
Sharp eye for quality and style as well as solid math skills
Meticulously organized and detail-oriented
Excellent computer skills
Must possess good communication skills both verbal and written
MUST BE BI-LINGUAL (Spanish English)
Must have good leadership skills
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks both mentally and physically
Must be able to exercise good judgment
Must lead by example and be able to ensure safe work practices
Must have the ability to achieve acceptable levels for safety, quality, and productivity
Must be able to ensure SOPs are followed
Must be able to facilitate team development
Must be able to foster a team spirit on the shop floor
