We are looking for an innovative and experienced Sous Chef to join our secluded resort in Glen Rose, TX. You’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the guests and customers, as well as managing BOH team members. You will report to the Executive Chef and support his role in his absence. Housing available for the right candidate.
Pay: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 per YEAR
Sous Chef Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Executive Chef with ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction
Management of all back of house staff in a high volume kitchen, including ongoing training , development, and follow up
Achieve or exceed budgeted labor and other cost centers through proper planning and execution
Assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories, and ordering of food and supplies
Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations.
Sous Chef Requirements and Qualifications:
Very strong work ethic
Fish/Meat/Poultry butchering skills
Cooking skills to include but not limited to; Grilling/Pan Fry/Deep Fry/Sauté/Broil/Roast/Braise/Bake/Sear/Poach/ /Simmer/Blanch/Stew/Mother sauces/Egg Cookery/Charcuterie a plus as we do most hams/salami/sausages and meat curing and smoking in house
