Kitchen Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead daily back of house restaurant operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include overseeing food prep, execution, ordering, inventory, complying with safety and cleanliness standards, and business standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time. Ultimately, you will ensure all menu items are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience. Leadership and a willingness to improve service and daily operations are the key skills we are looking for. Someone who gets excited when they have the opportunity to create something new in the kitchen to better serve customer needs.

Responsibilities

Manage kitchen staff and guide ticket management
Ensure the kitchen is kept tidy at all times
Supervise food prep and cooking
Establish and uphold portion sizes
Schedule kitchen staff
Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
Store food products in compliance with safety practices
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area


Skills

Proven work experience in kitchen leadership role
experience planning menus and ordering ingredients
Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
Conflict management abilities
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends

Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per YEAR
