Hotel Sales Account Associate - NYC office

Job Description

Job Location: NYC office - working 100% onsite is required

The Hotel Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the hotel division
on a day to day basis. This will include working with direct accounts as well as with a team of
sales representatives in a supportive manner. The candidate must be flexible and
responsive and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with an attention to
detail. A positive and professional demeanor is required to successfully partner with

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
● Manages the day-to-day communication and develops excellent relationships with existing
accounts and sales representatives.
● Help to establish proactive procedures and inventory levels for all stock programs.
● Work with product development to make sure all specifications are up to date.
● Responsible for all aspects related to accounts and their management.
● Assist with physical inventory counts during the year.
● Shipping samples and swatches as needed.
● Represent Matouk at industry functions, trade shows and industry organizations as needed
● Utilize to manage sales leads and follow up and service existing accounts.
● Have full knowledge of the Salesforce order entry process and procedure and on occasion enter
orders if needed.
● Work closely with customer service to achieve the best possible service.
● Monitor the open order report on a regular basis to make sure all orders are being shipped in a
timely fashion.
● Position is based in NYC.
● Travel when needed
● Meet established sales goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:
● Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ of hospitality sales experience.
● Demonstrated experience in luxury, home soft-goods market.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as attention to detail and a passion
for excellent customer service
● Ability to multi-task and handle multiple tasks effectively.
● Proficient use of productivity software, including Excel, Word, Google Office, Powerpoint and or
Keynote and
● Willingness to embrace and act according to Matouk’s Statement of Purpose & Beliefs.
