Manager, Manufacturing Process

Job Description

The Manager, Manufacturing Process will provide leadership and supervision to the manufacturing operations team including department managers, supervisors, and associates. The Manager, Manufacturing Process provides expertise and support in all areas of responsibility to ensure the operation meets customer expectations as well as other key performance metrics with a keen focus on continuous improvement driven by metrics. He/she will support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity while driving down cost within the operation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
-Provide leadership to manufacturing team to achieve all goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
-Develop processes to ensure manufacturing satisfies customer demand
-Define and drive standardized work throughout manufacturing
-Ensures that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
-Responsible for material process flow; controlling inventory levels to optimize machine utilization and minimize operating cost.
-Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost.
-Lead and support continuous improvement teams to investigate and resolve process issues as well as cost savings initiatives throughout the operation.
-Lead quality initiatives and drive process quality improvements related to internal operations, supplier base, and customer satisfaction.
-Develops and deploys clearly defined action plans to improve key performance indicators.
-Creates, reviews, and revises Quality Management System procedures including SOP’s.
-Oversee the establishment and revision of quality specifications and standards for new and existing products.
-Review, manage, and perform root cause analysis for all Customer Complaints (CC) and internal Corrective Action Requests (CAR).

Qualifications:
-BS in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Management
-Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or process engineering
-ASQ certified a plus.
-Knowledge of statistical and quality analysis methods.Experience leading continuous improvement efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

-BS In Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
-Experience in the Textile industry
-Experience manufacturing custom products
-Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certified
-Bilingual (English/Portuguese)
