Manufacturing Utility Operator



Job Description
The Manufacturing Utility Operator will work in multiple departments across the Cutting & Automated Equipment Department. The purpose of this position is to provide support to the manufacturing team, as needed, to complete daily manufacturing activities. A Manufacturing Utility Operator will be able to perform multiple manufacturing functions and operate key pieces of manufacturing equipment in order to support the operation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate the Automated Quilting machines as needed.
Operate the Zund 1-Ply Cutting machine as needed.
Ability to manually trim & cut fabric as needed.
Operate the Automated Embroidery machines as needed.
Operate a Powered Industrial Truck to transport materials and supplies.
Assist with loading/unloading containers as needed
Cover for other employees in key operations while they are on break/lunch.
Support continuous improvement activities and projects.

Qualification Requirements:

Flexibility to move from one assignment to another as dictated by business needs.
Ability to multi-task.
Read and follow production work orders. Document production data.
Ability to work both independently and on a team to complete assignments.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Train and maintain certification in the areas noted above within specified/required timeframes.
