The Vice President of Marketing reports to the CEO and will be responsible for creating and executing a marketing and engagement strategy that will build the Matouk brand across multiple customer channels. The VP of Marketing will elevate and uphold Matouk brand equity through effective partnership with the Creative Director, the VP of Global Sales, the VP of Digital Strategy and the Product Line Director. The successful candidate will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the Matouk brand voice, a mastery of customer engagement strategies across digital and traditional media, experience building a high-performance marketing team, and a proven data-driven approach to setting and reporting against Key Performance Metrics for marketing success.
Customer Engagement -
Message creation for all key customer segments: National, Retail Partners, Interior Designers, Hotel, International and Matouk Direct (ecommerce and bricks and mortar)
Design and execute engagement strategies for all segments
Lead effective events planning including trade shows and special events for designers and consumers
Partner with Sales and Digital Leaders to support customer activation and revenue goals
Oversee project management of Matouk Book, Ambassador Kit and other key wholesale sales collateral required to optimize field performance
Manage all social media platforms to increase audience and engagement levels
Effectively deploy Salesforce CRM to drive engagement, loyalty and transactions
Growing the Brand -
Create a marketing culture where storytelling is effective, consistent and authentic across all audiences
Work with Creative Director to specify content requirements to be strategically deployed across appropriate media
Manage copywriting, Public Relations and other outside resources to support content needs
Create, deploy and measure effectiveness of all advertising strategies
Identify and manage best in class Public Relations and other collaborators to reach brand goals.
Gain consumer insights through research that lead to more effective sales, product and brand strategies
Building and Leading a Successful Team -
Build internal resources to effectively achieve marketing plan, create and execute against marketing calendar and respond to wide range of audience requirements
Build collaborative and productive framework for cross-functional communication with all key internal marketing customers including Sales, Creative, Digital and Product Management leaders
Connect marketing performance to work of Strategic Planning Task Force and wider Leadership Team
Driving Product and Financial Performance -
Build and own a marketing budget to achieve strategic and tactical priorities
Report regularly to CEO on budget performance and evolution through the year
Bring data-driven culture to marketing by creating KPIs for success in all critical areas and regularly measuring and reporting progress
Collaborate with Creative and Product leaders to effectively launch new products and collaborations with external partners
Coordinate with Creative, Product and Manufacturing teams to create packaging protocols that are on-brand, efficient and environmentally responsible
Requirements for Success -
Experience-based understanding of building luxury and home furnishing brands, market territories and growth strategies
Advanced digital skills including CRM system management

What we’re looking for -
BA/BS degree, MBA strongly preferred
Minimum 10 years marketing experience is required
Experience leading teams – both directly and indirectly
Experience in managing agencies to deliver great work
Prior trade and media exposure is preferred
Retail/Wholesale Luxury Home Furnishings industry experience is preferred
Experience working with a privately owned, entrepreneurial business is preferred.
