Storm Shield Lightning Rods, Inc.

We are a local small business looking for responsible individuals to help install lightning protection systems. We take pride in providing our customers with a high quality of service and product.

Lightning Protection installation work generally involves stringing cable along roof perimeters and in attic spaces. Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs, work off of a ladder, and work at heights without issue. Adherence to OSHA standards for roof top safety is mandatory.

Hours are often irregular and may fluctuate from week to week, averaging 35-40/wk. We travel out of town 3 days per week on average but sometimes up to 5 days. Travel is usually within a 300 mile radius of Knoxville but can be as far as 600 miles. Work is usually done in pairs but there are times you will be working alone. We do pay full rate for windshield time, though, which can be significant.

Experience isn't required, but we're looking for people with a background in roofing or electrical, because the skills will translate. All we require is that you have a good attitude and are willing to work hard.

We do an extensive background check, which is required on many of the jobs we work at. Most of our work sites require a drug free status and drug screens for anyone working on site.

A driver's license is required, and your driving record will be considered when choosing the best applicants.

Pay depends on construction experience and transferable skills, entry level is $13/hr, but experience can be as high as $25/hr.
