Control Panel Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Electrical Assembly Technicians who possess the skills in the
assembly and wiring of UL Listed 508A Industrial Control Panels for immediate hire. This is a
permanent full time position. Candidates must be able to assemble and install electrical
components by utilizing component layout drawings and must be able to install and
terminate point-to-point electrical wiring utilizing electrical control schematics and singleline
power diagrams.......
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drills and taps device mounting holes and mounts PLC controller devices.
Run conduit, pulling wire, terminating industrial control panels.
Upload, download and save PLC controller programs.
Configure VFD’s (Variable frequency drives).
Performs layout and wiring of industrial control panels and devices per
schematics.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement
and Lean manufacturing activities to improve flow and reduce waste.
Pick necessary parts from warehouse. Utilize Kanban system to refill stock
levels.
Performs a combination of tasks to assemble electronic components,
subassemblies, products, or systems.
Reads work orders, electrical schematics, production drawings and sample
assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records, including time
reporting, etc.
Utilize fabrication tools such as drills, saws, cutters and punches.
Performs in production inspection, conducts functional and continuity tests of
electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using an
ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments to ensure parts
and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Neat in workmanship, specifically in regards to best practices in industrial
wiring.
Learn & teach new team members.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Good background in electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring
methods, electrical machine assembly, trouble shooting and problem.
solving. Good working knowledge of NEMA electrical standards, machine
controls, sensors and safety devices. Part of a self-directed work force
requiring minimal supervision, must have good communication, organizational
and time management skills

EDUCATION
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Candidate will possess a two-year electrical/electronic technical degree or
related field experience with a minimum of 5 years in industrial control
system development and troubleshooting. .,
