Job Description Metal Fabricator/ Welder Under direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor/Lead the Metal Fabricator/ Welder shall manufacture and install various steel components in a variety of Fire training simulators both fixed and portable Responsibility Include: Knowledge of wire feed welding equipment Knowledge of ASME standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Ability to use hand and power tools Receive and complete work assignments. Installs various items for the purpose of completing projects safely and within established time frames. Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure work areas are clean. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately. Perform other related duties as required Additional requirements Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Job requires working inside and outside in environments that present occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Y:\12.
