Controller & Accounting Manager

Job Description

Diverse, privately owned manufacturing company looking for an experienced financial professional to join our family as a Controller & Accounting/Cost Manager! The position will be a blend of day to day tactical cost accounting/management, and some more strategic controller level cost/financial planning responsibilities/activities.

This position will be a take the lead on our cost accounting systems, short and long term financial planning, month/year closing activities, cash flow & inventory management, banking relationships, assist in strategic financial planning, job costing & analysis.

Key focus of this role will be to take the lead in developing/integrating tools to improve cost analysis & pricing strategies, and job or customer level cost reporting for each of our unique manufacturing divisions through hands on implementation of technology, data mining, or real time ERP integrated report writing as needed.

Qualified candidates will:
-Lead with a partnership & support mentality when working with operations
-Be very comfortable/independent in navigating ERP systems
-Have strong manufacturing background, (in a job shop environment preferred) in a cost accounting/financial analyst or controller role
-Minimum of Bachelor's in Accounting (additional education in Business and/or Supply Chain) is a plus
-Have demonstrable aptitude for both detail and process improvement in financial & costing systems
-Be willing to dive into day to day accounting activities as needed to support accounting team
-Be willing to get their hands dirty in fixing system and financial/costing issues hands on and creating/improving processes
