Director of Veterinary Imaging & Diagnostics

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Veterinary Imaging & Diagnostics to lead and manage our diagnostic services. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all imaging operations, including digital radiography, ultrasonography, and related diagnostic technologies. You will supervise a team of imaging professionals, collaborate closely with veterinarians, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all diagnostic procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of diagnostic imaging, including radiology, ultrasound, and advanced diagnostic tools

  • Supervise and support imaging technicians and diagnostic staff, including hiring, training, and performance management

  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, workflow improvements, and quality assurance measures

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to diagnostic imaging and radiation safety

  • Maintain and coordinate servicing, calibration, and upgrades of imaging equipment

  • Collaborate with veterinary staff to provide diagnostic insights and contribute to patient care plans

  • Stay current on industry advancements and identify opportunities to enhance diagnostic capabilities


Qualifications:

  • DVM/VMD degree or certification in veterinary diagnostic imaging preferred (ACVR diplomate or equivalent a plus)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in veterinary imaging; at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

  • Strong technical expertise in digital radiography, ultrasonography, and diagnostic equipment

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage staff effectively

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with veterinary EMR systems and digital image archiving (PACS)

Pay: $103,920.00 to $120,890.00 per YEAR
