Job Description
Arrow Concrete & Asphalt Specialties LLC is seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to specialize in the maintenance and repair of various small engines. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of gasoline engines, diesel engines, and other mechanically powered small equipment. This role required precision, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Repair - Identify mechanical problems through diagnostic testing and by disassembling and inspecting small engines.
- Maintenance - Perform regular maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other necessary changes.
- Parts Management - Order, manage, and replace parts as necessar5y maintaining a detailed inventory log.
- Safety Compliance - Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Record Keeping - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including details on processes and parts used.
- Note: The above responsibilities are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required as deemed necessary by management.
Qualification:
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a recognized small engine repair program preferred but not necessary.
- Experience - Minimum of 2 years' experience in small engine repair, with proven proficiency in troubleshooting and repair.
- Technical Skills - Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in small engines.
- Communication Skills - Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in confined spaces.
- Capable of lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and parts.
- Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor environments, sometime under adverse weather conditions.
